Supply Chain Management has emerged as one of the key areas of management, promising tremendous opportunities for cost optimization and for maximizing customer value. In a competitive marketplace, an organization can gain advantage by working closely with its business partners. This course focuses on understanding how to streamline the supply chain so that it can deliver maximum customer value at the lowest possible cost – by delivering the right product in the right quantity to the right place at the right time! The course will focus on understanding and analyzing various managerial levers and apply them to achieve supply chain excellence. The discussions will be focused on end-to-end analysis of supply chains and will include issues related to strategy, design, coordination, sustainability, planning & execution of supply management. It seeks to equip current and budding supply chain managers with tools and concepts related to managing and improving supply chains and put them on the path to operational excellence.

Prof. Arqum Mateen is a Fellow of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, where he was the recipient of Satish K. Sehgal Doctoral Student Award for Scholarship and Organizational Citizenship. He has worked in energy, information technology, and pharmaceutical industries. His research interests include the role of technology in operations, strategic role of operations and marketing in establishing sustainable competitive advantage, as well as supply chain coordination. His research has been presented in several international conferences in many countries, and has been published in many reputed international journals like Decision Support Systems, International Journal of Production Research, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Marketing Intelligence and Planning etc.

Prof. Ashutosh Sarkar

PhD IIT Kharagpur, M. Tech IIT Kharagpur

Prof. Ashutosh Sarkar has received his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He has extensive experience in executive education and management development programmes. His areas of interests include Inventory and Supply Chain Optimization, Application of Stochastic Dynamic Programming in Operations Management Problems, Purchasing and Supply Risk Management. He has received international awards for his research and been cited by the academia extensively. Prof. Sarkar has published in Production and Operations Management (Financial Times list of 50 top management journals), International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research: Part E, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, Computers & Industrial Engineering etc.

Pedagogy

Participants would be provided readings and sessions would be a combination of lectures, discussions, simulations, case analysis, and hands-on exercises as required. Peer learning would be a crucial part of the engagement. Participants are encouraged to contextualize the concepts with their respective industry contexts. All enrolled students will also be provided access to our SLIQ Cloud Campus through which students may access other learning aids, reference materials, assessments, case studies, projects and assignments as appropriate. Throughout the duration of the course, students will have the flexibility to reach out to the professors, real time during the class or offline via our SLIQ Cloud Campus to raise questions and clear doubts.

Assessment

Evaluation methodology is the discretion of the faculty. The methodology includes online exams, case analysis, class contribution and any other component as decided by the faculty. A minimum of 75% attendance to the Live Sessions is a prerequisite for the successful completion of this program. The programme may require participants to work on individual/group assignments and/or projects. The main objective of such assignments/projects will be to help the participants apply their conceptual learning in the programme to actual organizational decision scenarios. The participants will have to secure the minimum pass marks in the respective evaluation components. Participants who successfully complete the same and satisfy the requisite attendance criteria, will be awarded a certificate of completion. Participants who are unable to clear the evaluation criteria but have the requisite attendance will be awarded a Participation certificate.

IIM Kozhikode was the fifth Indian Institute of Management, founded by Government of India in collaboration with Government of Kerala at Calicut in the year 1996. IIMK also holds the credit for having pioneered the Interactive Distance Learning (IDL) Program for working executives in India. Candidates interested in the course will be shortlisted based on the following – The academic counsellors at Talentedge will check with the interested candidates for initial scrutiny of eligibility against specified eligibility criteria. After receiving the required information from the candidates, qualifying candidates will register themselves at Talentedge website and pay Rs. 1500 + GST / USD 25 towards the application processing fee. This amount will NOT be refunded to candidates. Candidates will then be required to take an online Talentedge Admission Assessment (TAA). A sample of TAA’s questions can be accessed here. Upon clearing the TAA, candidates will thereafter proceed to pay the fee as per the schedule. Candidates will also be required to complete a detailed application form and furnish soft copies of necessary documents. If you have any questions about the kind of supporting documents that needs to be uploaded, please speak with our counsellors who will be able to guide you through the process. All the information and documentation provided by you at the time of enrolment will be duly verified by the Institute and if it is determined that the information and/or documentation provided by you is inadequate and/or does not substantiate the entry requirements and prerequisite criteria to the course, then your enrolment to the course will be cancelled with immediate effect and the instalment of the course fee paid by you to Talentedge at the time of registration, will be refunded to you. The Course fee is payable in instalments as per the instalment schedule provided. In the event of late payment of Instalment 1 or any other subsequent Instalments, a Late Fee is leviable as follows. A Late fee of INR 1000 + GST will be payable by the participant if the instalment is paid within 7 days after the due date. A late fee of INR 2500 + GST will be payable by the participant if the instalment is paid between 8 to 14 days from the due date. If the Fee Instalment is not received within 14 days from the due date, then the participant shall be considered a dropout and a Rejoining Fee of INR 5000 + GST will be charged to the participant if the participant wishes to continue with and complete the course and rejoining can be accommodated as per the course guidelines.

Cancellation by the Participant

Cancellation by the Participant Requests for refund of fees on account of cancellation of enrolment shall be considered only if such requests are received prior to closure of registration or 21 days before the commencement date of course whichever is earlier. In the event of valid requests for refund of fees are received in the above specified timeframe, the application money shall be refunded after deducting a penalty of INR 5000 + GST (Administrative Charges). In all other cases, no refund shall be made. A participant may opt for rescheduling to a later batch of the same course / another course of prior to commencement of the course. However, such intimation must be made by the participant at least fifteen working days prior to the commencement of the course. The amount paid by the participant shall be considered as advance payment towards the next batch/alternative course. Further, the participant shall have to pay an administrative charge of INR 5000 + GST for facilitating such rescheduling. This is valid before the start of the course. However, if rescheduling is to be done after completion of certain modules, then participants will need to re-register by paying a re-registration fee of INR 25000 + GST. Cancellation by Talentedge & the Institute Talentedge & the Institute reserve the right to cancel courses at any time owing to reasons like insufficient enrolments, trainer indisposition or force majeure events. In the event that Talentedge or the Institute cancels a scheduled course, the student will receive full fee refund for the same. All refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of a valid refund request.
